Learn about International World Changers

International World Changers (IWC) offers youth and youth groups the opportunity for a hands-on mission experience. The International Mission Board, in cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention, sponsors this ministry.

Recently, six crews from World Changers partnered with Rick and Cindy Jenkins, IMB missionaries in Barbados.

"Truly God did use each of them with all their gifts and talents to make this an amazing week. I don't have exact numbers yet, but I can conservatively say that there are at least 37 new citizens for heaven now. Many of these were school children who loved playing games and soaked up hearing that God loves them and gave His son to die so they could have eternal life," states Cindy.

One seven-year-old asked a World Changer volunteer,

"Why do you have golden hair? Is that because you are here representing God?"

"Oh yes, little one, and they represented Him well this week," Cindy exclaimed.

What was the mission of the World Changers while in Barbados? Besides ministering to children, the St. Philip District Hospital asked the volunteers for assistance with their elderly and children who need 24-hour care because of severe disabilities. World Changers jumped right in and offered their services! They fed patients, changed beds and did whatever was necessary. One day they sang, "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" inserting every name of the patients and staff into the song. Can you imagine how this gesture touched their hearts? Before they left the hospital, the volunteers gave a Bible to each nurse.

"No one has ever done that for me before," replied one nurse.

World Changers…they are all about
touching hearts, servanthood, a deep commitment to missions and sharing the love of Jesus.
